What to bring to your CDL Medical Exam:
- Driver’s License
- Current CDL Medical Card (if applicable)
- Eyeglasses, Contacts, or Hearing Aids (if applicable)
- A list of medications with dosage
Those with the following diagnoses will need to follow these further guidelines:
- Diabetes
- Bring your most recent A1C reading from your physician
- Cardiac condition including history of heat attack or previous heart surgery
- Requires a letter of clearance to safely operate a commercial vehicle from your cardiologist, including a normal EKG
- Mental Health Condition
- Letter of Clearance from a mental health professional indication your condition is stable and any medications do not interfere with your ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle
- Sleep Apnea
- You must use a CPAP mask and present a printed compliance of 70% or greater
